What is the Part 4: Regulation 4.5 course?
Part 4: Regulation 4.5 is the most common course as it is required by anyone who may handle open or closed containers of hazardous chemicals or be exposed to hazardous chemicals in the course of their work. We offer two version of this course, one for team members and one for supervisors.

What is the Certified Handler 6.1 A/B course?
Bundled with the 4.5 Course the 6.1 A/B is an exam required by certain individuals who are ultimately responsible for handling chemicals in the workplace. (PCBUs).

How do I get started?
There are two ways to ways to get started. Paying by credit card for individual purchases, or paying by coupon code for corporate clients.

How long before I can start my course?
You can start your course immediately after signing up. If for some reason you do not see your course available in your training dashboard, please refresh your browser. This course is designed to be completed on a tablet, laptop or computer. Internet access is required. You have one month from enrolment to complete your course. In this time, you can review the content and reprint certificates as often as you need.

How long does it take to complete the Hazardous Substances in the Workplace training?
The Part 4: Regulation 4.5 course for team members takes about 1 hour. The Part 4: Regulation 4.5 course for supervisors takes about 1.5 hours. Part 4: Regulation 4.5 and Chemical Handling 6.1 A/B takes about 2.5 hours to complete.

Do I have to finish the training in a single session?
No. You can complete it all at once if you’d like, it is broken up into chapters and you can do each chapter separately and leave the course to return later. The LMS remembers where you left off, so you do not have to repeat any sections of the course already completed. There is no final exam as you complete the knowledge checks at the end of each chapter as you move through the course.

When does the 4.5 certificate expire?
The Part 4: Regulation 4.5 course is valid for 3 years and the Part 4: Regulation 4.5 and Chemical Handling 6.1 A/B is valid for 5 years.

Is the 4.5 course compliant?
Absolutely. This online 4.5 Training course has been developed by experienced Health and Safety Professionals and meets the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), the Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016 (HSWA GRWM): Regulation 9, and the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances Regulations 2017 (HSWA HS): Part 4: Regulation 4.5 training requirements.
